I don't really like the 16" wheel. It just makes the tire look fat IMO. But, I think I like the 18" better than the 21" cause it makes the tire look fatter, so you figure it out!
I don't really mind buying the wheels and trying it myself, but I do have to get the tires installed. The only thing is getting the alignment right. I have a nail in my rear and I couldn't get an appointment at the shop till next tuesday, so I was curious if anyone knew if it was something my shop would do while they are swapping the tire anyway.
Sorry that you get such bull here. I'm trying to do the same wheel to bike swap. According to the Harley catalog part# 43573-08 fits a FLH series. You may have to buy a kit with your bearing size. Page 679 of the 2010 genuine motor accessories catalog
Yea, one of these days I will probably get around to trying something. The new wheels look pretty killer, but I'd need to massage the rear to make that fat tire fit. I might hold off till I get a welder, so that I can cut and patch in things in the rear as nessasary to make it all fit. Actually, the axles are probably the easiest part. I just wish there were more dealers that did custom work nowadays so I could at least know if it had been done before.
........ the answers to that question are what keep the unimaginative & motivationally challenged among us on stock wheels !
..... thank gawd my stock spoke mags are the same color as the accent on the '05.
