I have two sets in my garage, I was tired of poking out my eyes!! lol
The Ultra is just a bit nicer then the Classic and thats is just a bit nicer then the standard, which is just a bit nicer............ and so on and so on
I like my Classic cause its in between a SG and an Ultra, I can remove the tourpack and change the seat for the SG look, or put it back on and be in tour mode in minutes.
My sentiments exactly, you get two bikes in one with the Classic, remove the tourpak, get a lower profile seat and you have a Street Glide. Put the tourpak and seat back on and you got the Touring bike back.
Tourpak can be off and on in 60 seconds with the detach kit...try that with the Ultra!
I researched and anxiously debated the choice myself when I was in the market for a bagger. I spent the extra money and got the Ultra and I'm totally satisfied with the purchase.
As mentioned, the lowers are awesome. Plus, I like the look of the rear seating arrangement better on the Ultra... Something about the way the bike looks without the speakers just didn't turn my crank.
Agree. Go with the Ultra and you'll never regret it.
I had an 08 Electra Classic. We decided to add factory intercoms to the bike. I soon realized that I could trade bikes for an Ultra about as cheap as upgrading my bike. So....... Let's all say it together....... ULTRA!
I concur...Ultra is the only way to go for you and your passenger. I had a 06 RG and put the detatchable tour pack on...it rattled! Looked into adding all the extras you get on the ultra and adding them to a classic and you can't touch the price difference.
As stated already...spend the exta 2k and go in luxury!
Another vote for the Ultra. I have had both bikes. They are both nice. My classic was a 2002 and had no need to upgrade other than I wanted a new one. I spent alot of money on my Classic turning it into a Ultra. But when all was said and done it was still no Ultra.
I have an Ultra and love it. The only thing I don't use is the CB One of my buddies bought a Classic a couple of years ago to save a few bucks and has been kicking himself around the block ever since. Now it's even worse when he sees my bike.
