Hate to spoil everyones parade, but the ONLY way to get "bass" is to add a subwoofer. At best, you can attenuate your "mid-bass" response.
Although I'm just messin' with you guys...it is true.
I had a pair of Rainbow PowerLine CS 275.27 in my truck that can play down to 35hz...still nothing like a subwoofer! And if you are not familiar with those components...all I can say is OMG!!!! I wish they would fit in my SG. LOL
Brypink, Your right about bass/subs. After all they are only 5.25". I have mine crossed over at 80hz anyway. Any lower and the Arc mini makes them cry.
I am a big fan of rainbow speakers. I run the 6.5 Germanium components in my truck.
No the ARC 6000's will not fit inside the batwing, Not enough depth to the fairing. These things are deep and measure for a surface mount depth of 2 11/16 and the cut out to allow the woofer slip in is 5 5/8 and you only have an opening on the fairing of 4 1/2.
Bummer.. Which arc components would you use with the Arc mini in a batwing? I was considering Morel pulse series speakers for the hog... 5.25" in the wing and 6x9's in a set of Kevin Evan's leg warmers... I was going to set the Arc @ 50hz, cap the components in the wing and let the 6x9's attempt to go down to 50hz for some 'bass'
For reference my Honda Civic commuter car has AVI Tri-Star BSM's driven by an Arc 2500 XXK and another Arc 2500 driving a single JL Audio 12W6V2-D2 for bass... And my Dodge RAM has an Arc 4150XXK driving mb quart Q series front and rear with an MTX 81001 class D driving a 12W3 in a stealth box..
