Super redundant thread, I know. I searched under "wax" in touring with no hits, not a single one, wtf?? I am tired of caranbuba waxes, its gone after each washing and water doesnt bead off. I remember folks talking about a popular high end wax in the touring threads that the experianced brothers use. I want to know which wax it was. It wasnt Mequires or turtles or any of those. Can anybody point me towards it?

Harley Gloss is very good. A light spray-on after washing, and a quick wipe off with a microfiber cloth gives spectacular results. Plus it's cheap.

I'd have to second this motion. I started using Rejex last spring and found it very effective against love bugs, and clean-up was a matter of using a moistened microfiber cloth. Two weeks ago I applied Rejex to the entire bike (including wheels), not only the frontal surfaces (fairing, windshield, forks, etc.), and have made one serendipitous observation: The bike no longer attracts dust. With a black cherry finish dust was always a problem, but now it is much improved, and clean-up is very easy usually with only a California duster.

Rejex requires some special application rules, mostly just that you must apply on a surface <85°F and keep it cool for 12 hours. You must also keep it dry and out of the sun for that curing period. I usually apply it in the evening and let the bike sit overnight in the cool garage, applying it every six months in the spring and fall. Before applying Rejex wash the bike using one capful of Dawn dishwasher liquid for a gallon of warm water to remove any old wax build-up. There should be no old wax on the surfaces before applying Rejex.

Hoffy what are you washing your bike with?

I use Zymol and it lasts for 6 months or more. Using dish washing soap to wash your bike is the only way it will strip the wax at every washing. I use NXT and the Mr Clean auto wash system on my rides and never had it strip off the wax.

I have used this for years, easy on easy off makes your paint so slick and pop.
