Obviously, by design, the tire will now interfere with the fender if you have too much weight and/or too little air. How can you expect it to not rub??? Think about it...its self evident. If you don't want it to rub, remove the kit and swap out the shocks for Streetglide shocks.
I have the same kit on my bike set in the middle pos. no rubs and i ride 2 up most of the time. I even looked for signs of rubbing in case i wasn't feeling it. no probs here. also had a set on my RKC with no issues. I do run up the air in my shocks to 50+.
the kit I got only has two lowering positions run in lowest 20# my butt in the seat 290lbs no rub 07 classic buddy bought the same kit as pictured he says he rubs 08 ultra 20 lbs air, he doesnt weigh 150 wet
my personal bike pictured in some of the ads is set in the 2" hole. I weight 215lbs, and i did NOT add any air to my stock shocks. the only time you wont get a response from me is if you send a message to an email account. If you have any issues, PLEASE send me a message through EBAY where the kit was purchased! The messages in ebay are checked 3 or 4 times a day, and responded too immediately. There should never be a rubbing issue in the first hole, ever. Alot of companies sell 1" lowering kits, that do the exact same thing, and there are thousands of them out on the road. If you weigh alot, and ride two up, with a tour pack and saddle bags loaded down, try adding a little air to the shocks. Since the angle of the shocks is changed, adding a little air wont make it ride rougher than stock. We have sold over 2000 of these kits this year through ebay and our dealers and very very few people have said anything about rubbing. Again, please ALWAYS contact us THROUGH EBAY, and your questions and concerns will be answered promptly.
This product has some issues. Seller support aside. First of all, the end result after adding air to my shocks so that my tires do not rub is that I regain the amount of lowering the kit got me. So basically, I wound up with no net lowering. Doesn't make sense to me. The air in my shocks were fine before I used the lowering kit. Lowered the bike and had rubbing issues. Put more air in the shocks and the rubbing went away..but so did the lowered effect...when you add air to the shocks the bike rises. so I'm back to where I started, only out 40+ bucks.
So progressive shock seems like the way to go.
This item is fine if you ride in a no bump area...NYC has kazillions of bumps..so this item is not recommedned.
