I've used a junior battery tender for at least four years every time the bike is parked at home. I've had no problems with the tender or the battery. I think it's a better set up than the plus because it's compact and plugs directly into the receptacle with a long cable to the bike.
Like others have said, I wouldn't try to use it to charge a dead battery but it's great for maintaining one.
My wife left her lites on last weekend and drained the battery on her car, plugger in the Jr and left it overnight. Worked fine.
.Just a note, Cycle Gear is going to have the JR on a special after Thanksgiving sale Nov. 28th for $19.99! That same day they have a pkg deal on rain jacket and pants for $19.99 so basically you get the jacket free.
+1. Ditto that. Have one already, but that is a very good price.
