The sound system is all set for my Road King and now it comes down to hooking up an MP3 player. I was really leaning toward an Ipod, either the Classic or the new Touch, but the more I look at and read about the Zune, the harder my decision is getting.
I'd appreciate any opinions on either player, positive or otherwise. Problems with the units mounted on a bike? Software problems, warranty?
Used an Ipod Touch all the way from Atlanta to Daytona and back with NO problems. It's not based on a mini hard drive so the bike's vibration won't affect it. Lots of fancy mounts but I just ziptied the belt portion of a holder onto my right handlebar and clipped the Ipod on to it. The Touch also acts as a mini computer with internet access when you get where you're going!
Ive ruined 3 ipods with hard drives on my bike. I bought a zune, and the vibration hasnt seemed to bother it. I used my wifes zune another time, and same deal. No problems. Zune has it all over Ipod IMO. I do tho, have a nano and Its worked fine.
I have a Zune and really like it. My only complaint is some accessories can be hard to find in the stores sometimes. Ipod has about 70% of the market I think.
Im getting a Ipod for Christmas. I have to get an Ipod mount and wire. I like that clip it mount because its small and I can also use it for my cell phone. But all these mounts are expensive as hell. They are almost as much as the Ipod itself.
Purchased a ipod touch and Kuryakyn has a multi use bracket. I love the itouch, web access, stores photos etc.Itunes is great for downloading music to.
