If you have a 2008 or later throttle-by-wire WITH cruise control, the yellow box will rendor the cruise inoperable unfortunately....so NO GO solution for me. I have a yellow box on a Suzuki and it works great BTW.

There is also a thing called the Yellow Box that fixes the speedo.

http://www.blackrobotics.com/ I've used it before with great results on my sportbikes and others that I know.

Speedo Healer by Healtech makes a recalibrator for big twins now. $109.00. I have used them on other makes of bikes and they are dead nuts on. They are plug and play, just use there online calculator to calibrate. Takes about 5 mins. or less. www.healtech-electronics.com

This is also true with the Dakota Digital calibrator. It also makes you 6th gear light inoperative.

Our 07 and 08 UCs are 4 to 5 % off in speed and also in distance but both clocks run little faster need adjusting every few months no biggy. I have told the tech and his answer it's normal and can't be adjusted but can be replaced if it's out HD specifications but seems like all the things you think are not working properly are within HD standards.

Holy Old Thread Batman!!

4% is usually what they're off.

They CAN be calibrated with a proper tuner. I know for sure TTS and PV2 can... and I assume FP3 can all do it, but the SE products can not.

Will the speedo healer render my digital gear display and 6th gear light inoperative on my 2014 breakout..the Dakota sim-1A has rendered both my display and light inop

Ancient thread resurrected twice.

Have you called Dakota Digital? I could be going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing they know their products better than people on the forum.

And generally on this thread - factory speedo calibrations will always show you are going slightly faster than you really are.

Why? Can you imagine the law suits they'd be flooded with if it was the other way around? People do all kinds of whacky things to their bikes - different profile tires, different tire inflation, etc, so they are giving themselves some wiggle room.

I changed my cogs hence the need for recab...got onto Dakota and they said try putting more error into calibration currently it's at 4% & indicators still inop other than adding more error they didn't offer any other solution..it does say on their site that gear indicators maybe inop.
Spouse I could try adding more error say 5 to 10% but the module is under seat and near impossible to cab whilst riding..the dealer used a dyno to cab during the cog change but is reluctant to recab with increased error in the hope the indicators start working..the only other way is to lengthen the wires so I can bring module out from under seat and use gps whilst riding to recab to 5%
