Default detachable fairings

okay, looking to get a detachable fairing for my road king. i've searched the forums, read tons of threads, and everybody loves what they have, be it tsukayu, or dead center, or wideopen customs, etc.....

before i make a decision, i am trying to find out the weight differences between models, i know the woc is abs plastic, while the tsukayu is fiberglass, but is there really an appreciable difference in weight between the models?

it would make it so much easier if someone in this area actually had one that i could see in person but it doesn't seem to be the case.

thanks for the info

firecap, if you see this, take a big stick to your mfg, i'm getting close to ready to buy!!!!!

im in a similar mode as you...maybe a couple months away from pulling the detachable fairing trigger. I have seen a bunch around here on bikes. but all are dragonfly and dead center....havent seen others. They both look great. i like that the deadcenter is easier to detach and is lockable. i still believe i will put on/take off the fairing...though everyone i know that has one doesnt seem to ever take it off. i might get a naked one and have shipped to firecap for some firecap audio love...i like the looks of the inner with firedogs setup of the 2 speakers and the 2 tweaters.

I already have. I love it when a company starts strong and then takes a HUGE dump.

I had a Hoppe on my Heritage, was not that heavy. You can get after market windshield from anyone and Harley's trim works also. Hoppe has a five hole pattern but I just used the three for the trim/windsheild, not sure about anyone else's.

I had a dead Center on my 02 RK. Quality was great but it attaches higher than the fairing on an Ultra. Actually too high for me, couldn't really see over it very well (I am 5'9").
