Default Harley Pullback bars on 2009 Touring

Ok, I did the pullbacks on my 07 EGC and just needed the bars and clutch cable.

Has anyone done an 09? How about an 09 Street Glide - says you have to go back to handle bar mirrors, which I know is crap, you just set the bars under the mirror, works great.

However, I would like to know what you ACTUALLY need to do an 09...

Any help would be appreciated.

I was told by the dealer nothing, not even the clutch cable. I want to do it, just have to save a bit to get there. Was quoted $500.00 for the install. (I'm not a wrench )

$500 for changing handlebars? Sounds a bit steep to me. My indy quoted me $80 but couldn't get to it for about a week so I decided to do it myself. Took me a couple of hours but I was taking my time since it was my first bar change. Wasn't difficult at all. I changed out a bud's bars on his RK a couple of weeks later (after he saw how mine felt) and done it in about an hour.

Man, I took the front part of the fairing off to swap out the stock speakers and I was pretty much at my limit. There's a lot of stuff under the hood of the UC that has to come off. I think the dealer said either three or four hours labor. Again, I am not a wrench. Ya wanna come over?? I'll buy the beer.....

I recently installed a set of Khrome Werks 300515 +2 Wide Sweeper bars on my 2008 Street Glide and ran the wire internally. This should apply to the 09 also. I would check an make sure the pullback bars will work on the SG first. Here a write-up on the process, along with these pics.

3-4 hours at a cost of $500.00. You better pull your britches back up and run as fast as you can to another dealer or Indy. You can get Khrome Werks Sweeper bars & +4 clutch cable from Warehouse Direct (Forum Sponsor, offers us 15% discount) for just over $100.00 total.

You will need a longer clutch cable for any of the pullback bars (+3-+4).
