What do people use to seal out the water???that is do you put silicone in between the rack and the tourpack...I do not have mine yet...oick it up next weekend so not sure if they come with something or if it is a rubber washer that does the trick????thanks!
The plastic washers that come with the rack should keep any water out at least down to 30 feet I also recommend the Brad bit it's perfect for this type drilling.
Comes with rubber washers and a template. Dont use the template. Blue painter's tape and measure many times before drilling. I placed mine close enough to the backrest so that my fingers just fit between. That way you can add the spoiler later if you wish.
I put a small amount of silicone on the threads of the bolts to keep water from tracking down. Works fine.
Tip: I put 1/2" felt adhesive disks on the bolt heads so they don't scratch my helmet when I store it in the TP.
