You guys must be doing something wrong. Mines so easy to get up, I have done it barefoot using only my toes. My Goldwing you have to be off the bike, push down with all your weight while your pulling up on the grab bar. When I first put the Wheeldock on the SG, I pushed down so hard on the bar that it went up on the stand, then slid back about a foot. I was used to the Goldwing.

If you are pulling on the handlebars while seated...you're doing it wrong! The only pressure needed is downward force on the center stand. I also struggled at first, then figured it out. The easiest way to learn the technique is to put the bike on the jiffy stand and get off the bike. Leaving the jiffy stand extended.....push the bike upright. Then push down firmly on the center stand lever. Don't try to pull from the handlebars or anywhere else. The bike will easily lift up onto the center stand. After the bike is up on the center stand you can put the jiffy stand back into the stored position. Putting the bike on the center stand while standing beside it will teach you the technique. After that, you will have less difficulty in using the center stand while straddling the bike.

Ordered mine yesterday, and I am watching this closely. This is the first I heard of anyone having trouble making it work.I hope it works like most of the people say it does I can't wait to get it on and try it out

I (at first) could not get it up on the center stand, while I was sitting on the bike. I dumped it (layed it over) twice trying it this way, sitting in the seat. This is when I learned to have the stock side kickstand down, before trying to rock it back.

But now I get off, stand beside the bike, push down on the wheeldock lever, and presto, it's as easy as can be. I just can not do it sitting on (stradleling) the bike.

No pulling back at all, just stand on the wheeldock lever. While I'm standing beside the bike.

Don't park on to much of an uphill incline though, or you won't drive off the stand either.
I thought I was stuck, in the parking, one night at one of my shops Harley Nights.
Now I just use it in the garage. LOL Nobody to see me screw up there, but me. LOL

Andy, do you need a job?? You explained the correct way to put the bike up on the stand to a T. I have spent the last couple of hours tonight reading the threads and trying to help folks and will add this link from another post on another thread that goes into a lot more detail than Andy does and might just help a few folks. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/4311530-post13.html

Thanks to all you guys who help with advice.

Rod,

My current job keeps me too busy to get the riding time that I would like to have. I'll have to pass on the 100K instructor job at WheelDock...but will continue serving as a volunteer!
