Default Sound proof fairing before paint?

Riddle me this fellow audiophile's;

I've got the upper fairing pulled apart for an audio install. I want to go ahead and deaden the inside of the outer fairing with Dynamat and/or Dynaxorb, but I also plan on painting the bike in about 6-8 months...

My question is, would the paint process screw up the sound deadener? Don't they have to "bake" painted parts? No big deal if this were the plastic inner, because I have a spare, but I'm not trying to have a second fibergla$$ outer laying around.

shouldnt be an issue. acrylic enamel paint is a chemical reaction not a heat paint

the "baking" is no where near hot enough to effect the fairing or the deadener.

As a fellow audiophile (freakishly picky audio mastering engineer who doesn't really care about the stereo on the SG, but wouldn't mind if it sounded a little better), I'd love to know how it turns out - Before or after painting. I would imagine the additional mass on the somewhat "flabby" fairing might allow for a little tighter low end & lower mids (which really, really wouldn't hurt), but I can't figure if it would really be an appreciable difference...

In any case, I'd love to hear your thoughts once you get it put together again...

Scrip,
I'll let you know what I find. I think it will make a little difference with deadening that whole inner space...mainly I'm looking to tighten up the woofer response and not have so much reverberation.

BTW - I got my start in the studio, but went to the live sound side of things

I still do a reasonable amount of FOH work - Keeps me sane.
