How many times did you have to tell one of your buddies or one of them tell you when driving off......."hey you forgot to rise your jiffy stand" Is there a good reason why HD doesn't install a cutoff switch if you start rolling with the stand down?
I was really hoping that my new Tundra was going to have a safety switch to keep me from driving off with the door open. I do have to put it in gear before I can drive away though, that's a cool feature...

to answer the question: never. its enough that there is a neutral safety switch on the bikes now (since 07). don't really need or want one on the jiffy stand to.
Just bought a little GZ 250 zuki for the wife to learn on. Danged thing wouldn't start in neutral, the danged kick stand was down! Hasn't been that long since I had a metric but how soon you forget....
I've been a Chevy man my whole life, my last truck was a Silverado, however, I can't stand what they've done to the looks of their trucks lately. I also drove an 08 Silverado on a long trip and was disapointed. I bought the Tundra because 381 hp and 401 tq. I have an enclosed trailer to pull for my business and need the towing capacity. I hate to admit it, but the Toyota seems to be better built than the Silverado at this point. If I'm going to spend that much money, I want something in return. Never thought I would be saying that, but the proof is in the pudding.

I can't disagree. I hear the Tundra is a superb truck. I think Ford did a nice job (styling) on the new F150s but I agree that GMs don't look as sharp. With the Toyota, you know you're getting a solid vehicle. (Good thing we're talking four wheels here instead of two huh?)
