Default Screaming Eagle Stage1 A/C

Just noticed in the MOCO catalog that their air cleaner element doesn't need to be oiled. "It's a state of the art material". So, do you just wash it in luke warm water and air dry. Another question comes up. Jaime @ Fuel Moto sells the same kit, and he includes the 2 bottles of, I'm assuming the cleaner and oil, so maybe it's not the same element though. Maybe his is the K&N. Just wondering

I noticed the same thing. Seriously considering adding it to my bike.

Anxious to hear some answers on this subject.

I asked Jamie about this and here is his response: "Hello, the filter we include is a "non branded" lifetime cleanable cotton gauze element." I am looking at the SE A/C as well and that was why I asked the question. Hope that helps.

I have the SE Stage 1 air intake, and it's true that you do not oil the filter. I wash mine about every 5k miles and gently blow dry with a fan. The filter housing specifically states "Do Not Oil". I've been running mine for 24k miles and it has done fine. It looks like a K&N, only without the oil.

Thanks for the responses. I'm thinking Fuel Moto's is the K&N, but it sounds like it has the beefed up cast backing plate on it.

I have the SE air cleaner, I just wash with Simple Green and warm water seems to work fine. Last UOA Silicon was 8 PPM in 5000 miles.
