I just checked mine on my new Road King this morning. I got 47 MPG. I now have about 340 miles on it. George

Couldn't get better than 41MPG (1 up) little city/mostly highway on my 05 Ultra. I would say getting 45MPG must be running a bit on the lean side.

I am sort of shocked with what he is getting for MPG too. I seem to be getting about 30 mpg with my SG.

I live in Colorado drive at about 5000 to 7200 ft so the lean condition that everybody talks about helps us at altitude. This tank (47 MPG) was in the mountains and a few 60 MPH runs.

My Box-stock '06 Ultra is getting about same mileage as my other HDs:

- Around town: 39 to 40 MPG

- Putt along at steady 55 to 60 MPH: about 50 MPG

- Realistic cruse at steady 70 MPH: about 40 MPG

- Steady cruse at 80+: about 33 MPG (or less)

At the price of gas these days, I'm trying to learn to enjoy 70 mph.

Mine was getting about that also until I had the injectors changed. The bike was running way to lean, that's why my mileage was so good. Hope you don't run into any problems. You have to be running lean to be getting that kind of mileage.
