There is no T-27 Torx of any type available from Craftsman. Their sets do not include T-27 and it's not available individually.
I got mine from a fastener supplier (screw bit style) and set them in 1/4 and 3/8 drive sockets (Snap-on) purchased from a pawn shop. The bits cost $3 each and the sockets were $4 total. That comes to $5 each for T-27 in 1/4 and 3/8 drive.
i've got a set of craftsman torx bits, as well as a set from mac. there are times when you just gotta bite the bullet and forego the hong kong stuff like you'd get at harbor freight. for the derby cover i always use anti seize on the screws when reinstalling them, and run them in snug, and then torque them to spec in a star pattern. i can see two places where people can have problems with the derby cover screws. first would be using the cheap torx drive sockets which the "splines" are very soft. the other problem is when people try to expect a t-25 to suffice when they really need a t-27
T-27 and what else so i can order some? is that screwdriver that you get in the tool kits or the touring tool pouch that you can buy for 200.00 got the Torx plus bits? Don't tell me that they are the regular Torx.
Are the bits you get from HD in the tool kit screwdriver on the touring models Torx or Torx plus ? I just ordered the sizes in the 8in1 screwdriver in Torx plus anyway. It has a T-25 T27 T30 T40 and i found a T-45 on the front engine gaurd that is not on the screwdriver. All the sets of Torx i have and just learned about the Torx plus. Does Snapon warranty bits? Not worth the money you can find bits that Rockwell the same for a lot less money. 160.00 for standard torx set no thanks.

Last weekend I purchased from Sears a set of 4 torx sockets that started with a t-27, The salesman who knew his stuff said this set fills in on their other set where the sizes jump in increments of 5.

Good to hear that Sears finally offered some fill-in torx bits. You were fortunate to find a salesman that actually knew something about tools, and not some backwards hat wearing 20 something turd that doesn't know sh*t even though his head is full of it.
By the way what was the cost and was the T-27 1/4 drive or 3/8?
