Tortz Bits
Everything sold in Home Depot comes from China. You can keep your $12. torx sockets.
A qauality 3/8 inch drive set is the way to go......I can't see using cheap tools on my bike....I have the Craftsman set and have never had a problem.....using a torque wrench isn't a bad idea either....I have an extended length driver that works great for me......
The frame or the drill bit? Sorry couldn't resist.
Read this quote from Snap-On and maybe you will accept what I've been telling you guys about torx fasteners and bits:
"TORX® Plus fasteners may be found in almost all vehicles from the 1999 model year to present. Common applications include GM transmission bell housing bolts and Ford seat belt anchors. Use of a standard TORX® Driver on TORX® Plus fasteners may result in a rounded out fastener head or damaged driver. "
Trust me, you need torx plus bits, not standard torx.

How do you remove a torx head that shears off in the bolt? I have broken a craftsman torx head (tx40) off in the engine guard mounting bolt. How do I get it out?
Try to take a sharp punch (chisel) and try to break it. They are tempered very hard and they will shatter into pieces and come out. Good luck!
