to be honest I am running a 3rd g nano with velcro. I take it in with me when I park and pop it back on. 800 miles so far and no issues. I am installing XM this week so the ipd might be no more.
I have a Nano4 in the windshield bag, its plugged in and and on the charger all the time. I have about 15,00 miles on the setup. You just have to turn off the shake mode.
I have the one made by Gilbos Hawg Solutions. If you google it and go to his site he has my pic and others of his products. Great guy and fantastic service. You won't be disappointed.
