Default Ultra classic heigth issue

I am 5'8" with 30 inseam. Can I purchase a 2008 Ultra Classic and handle it? What about when I have to push it back in reverse to park it. Does it have a reverse gear in the transmission? Otherwise I will have to go with Street Glide or Road Glide.

PS I own a 2005 Faboy but now I want a Bagger.

Your feedback is appreciated!!!!

I think all the 09s are taller with the new tires and frame. You will have to change the shocks like the SG is.

I am 5'8" with a 30" inseam too. I have an '06 'lectraglide classic. I wear Chippewa logger style boots with thick soles and a higher heel. I also have a Sundowner seat. It's not so hard backing it up. If you want a reverse gear you gotta go see a Honda dealer.

You can do it if you lower the Ultra & have MCC rework your seat. If that doesn't work, get some thick soled boots. It will be worth it.

It will only work on the 09 models though

Someone here just posted some pictures of a seat by FBI that lowers seat height 3 inches, you might do a search to see it

You'll definately have a hard time unless it is lowered. If you want reverse gear it is available, ask the dealer.

You and I are about the same size. I lowered my 2003 Ultra by 1" and now it fits me just fine.

I am only 5'9 with a 30 inch inseam and I have put the Mustang solo seat on and I am almost flat footed on a 09 Ultra so if you have an 08 the Mustang would get you very close to flat footed. The Mustang solo is about as narrow as you will get between the legs and that helps you reach the ground better than anything.

I am 5' 10", 30 inch inseam. I did no motifications to my ride and I do just fine. I have been on 09 ultras and I believe they are a tad taller. If you already ride a big bike you will not have any problems. There are some seats that will lower you toward the ground.
