Removing Heel Shifter - HELP!
I suggest you take remaining front shift lever bolt to hardware store and find replacement in stainless and use stainless nylock nut. Also dap some antisieze in the shifter shaft.
You will eventually discover MANY factory bolts will corrode and be a bear to remove.
I also suggest you buy the inner shaft cover vice the outter one and move your toe shifter to the outside of the shaft. The chrome caps that HD sells caps the end of the shift lever and uses a TINY allen screw to hold it on. It will quickly corrode and be impossible to remove.
Instead buy the shaft cover that has a hole all the way thru it, and place it first on the shaft, then install toe shifter. If it comes with allen set screw, don't use it, the toe shifter will hold it in place.
