I have currently PCIII with Arlen Ness breather and it is mapped with the stock header. I know if I am to change this out I will need a new map. My question is, has anyone been down this road I am traveling or is it just best to go with a complete true dual system and not try this patch. I ask for advice from those who have been in this position before. Thanks...
Never been there, but I'd be careful. You are spending a few buck and for a few more you could get a system that is properly matched. I'm not so thrilled at the thought of patching together those parts... why not call the manuf of the slip ons and ask them?
That true dual head pipe set up looks identical to the fullsac kit that I put on. I bought it from fullsac.com and am happy with it. Do a search for fullsac and you will find plenty to read about it.
I went thru pretty much all of it. Had stock pipes with Wild Piggs (simular to Rush). Then V&H true duals with Wild Piggs and V&H basic slip-ons. None of these gave the power of 2 into 1 with Thunderheader.I had the PC III also, All was before and after the 98" build. My indy got more out of remapping the stock ECM than the PC III.Not much but a little. From 92 hp and 102 lb tq to 94 hp and 110 lb tq. and still get 38 to 40 mpg.
