Loud clank when starting

Default Loud clank when starting
out riding saturday all day made a quick stop went to start bike up it made a loud clank then started on next try this was much louder than normal is this a signal of a problem has anyone had this before thanks for the advice getting close to service time anyway.

Compensator is bottoming out. MOCO says it's nothing to worry about and I haven't heard of any of them grenading.

yeah i have an 08 that does that...i hear it's "normal", not to worry

Mine used to do this, compensator bolt was loose. Removed bolt, cleaned threads, and reinstalled with red loctite. Believe torque was 140 ft. lbs., quiet ever since.
