I guess I'm getting old, and perhaps a little on the goofy side, but it's hard for me to imagine dropping + or - $20K on a new Harley and NOT know whether or not you've got ABS. Was the bike a gift? No need to flame me for not being PC and polite, I'm not trying to be a smart azz, I truly don't understand it.... (EDIT) My apologies, I just went back and read the title of the thread.
On my bike, the ABS light in the gauge will flash right after starting to do a self test. It will continue to flash until you start moving.

how long will it flash? I havent picked my bike up yet but when I was at the dealer the light kept blinking. I only moved the bike a few feet so it didnt go off,
To be honest (and all kidding aside), you should be practicing "emergency braking" anyway and if you had been, you would easily know if you have ABS or not. Obviously you are not practicing such things with your bike in which case let me strongly suggest you invest your time and life in an MSF approved "experienced riders" course. Seriously, you need to know how to "use" those brakes of yours, ABS or not.

Sound advice!
As far as how long it should flash...
Watch the video posted earlier and it says until about 3 MPH.

Till you reach 5 mph I believe is the speed. Or close to that, then it will go off. You can't always look for the black sensor because some dealers put chrome covers on it. Sitting on the bike look at the left side where the spacer would be. If a wire is coming out from that spacer [sensor] it has abs. If it doesn't have chrome covers you can see one is a spacer and one is the sensor.
BLUBYU.........sorry to hear you do not have the ABS. In 5 months, mine have paid off a couple of times....well worth the price. I'm with bigsky.... laying out the cash for one of these....bet your a$$ I knew what I was and was not getting. Hell, we even showed them simple addition errors ( in our favor), after three tries to get it right...we just accepted the discount.
