Hey Guys,
I need help settling an argument with a friend. I am going to lower my 07 rk custom 1 3/4 using bitchin baggers shocks. He says I will have to lower the front. I will if the ride is affected but I thought I read on here that it isnt a must. I tried the search but no luck. Does anyone have any thoughts on lowering the front and the shocks.Thanks.
You don't need to lower the front unless you want to. The SG has the same front end as the other touring models, with the shorter shocks in the back, and it seems to work.
You can always lower the back without lowering the front, however I was told by Harley that you can't lower the front without lowering the back! Seems to make sense.

Lowering it that much may cause tire rub under your fender. Depending on how much you weigh or if you ride two up, be aware of this so you don't tear out wires or rip your tire up.
