Default RE: Panacea Light System

Guys,
I installed the Kuryakyn Panacea LED system, smoked lenses, front and rear on my 05 Road Glide. I also have the laydown rear lense, and HD's spoiler LEDs on my chopped Tour Pak. I didn't install the equalizer on the front turn signals, but I did install the one on the rear turn signals. I can't help with the security light issue, but I can say that my turn signals do flash after the bike does it's self test when I turn on power. Kuryakyn tech support told me that this is normal. Give them a call, they are great.

Bruce,

I am no positive, but I thought that, that part came with the Laydown Tail Light?? If not and you ordered it extra, where does it plug in, or do you remove something and replace it with this item??

I did the same thing with the front turn/running LED, rear ED stoplight and rear turn/running lights. Also very happy with the results
You need the TSSM Alarm Compatible Load Equ, part # 14857. I paid $25.49 from M&M Cycle, ordered eveything and had the parts in 5 working days.

The rear LED taillight came with a load equ, and the front LED's came with a load equ, but you need to buy the one I listed to get your security light to stay out. It was my understanding that the alarm would function correctly, but the light would stay on without the alarm load equ

Bruce,

Just to let you and everyone else know, what you said took care of the problem. The TSSM Alarm Compatible Load Equ, part # 14857 came a yesterday, and it took care of the problem.

Hey........... I was right for the first time in my life

Bob

I have noticed that the security light comes on after I start the bike for about 15 secounds, then goes out. Alarm works like it should, so I guess it's no biggie.

Happy motorings

Bruce,

It was not like the light being on after I used a turn signal hurt anything, it just bugged the heck out of me that it would stay on!!! I can handle the key lighting up for 5 or 10 seconds once, as long as it goes off and stays off!!! Hopefully it will get somewhat warmer here soon, and then I will be out more at night with it.

The LED mod was worth it when you think about the safety aspect of it, then there is the cool factor!!

I have the Kuryakyn kit too. When I installed all LED's front and back the alarm light came on when the turn signal was activated. Installed TSSM Alarm Compatible Load Equ, part # 14857 and the binkers would not work. So I finally removed the Load Equ. and front LED's and now everything works fine. I really just need all the rear lights to be LED. Oh, if you buy the kit it does come with a small load equ. Returned the TSSM Alarm Compatible Load Equ, part # 14857 and got my money back. Good luck.

I had same problem and Kury sent me an additional load equalizer. No help. I purchased the more expensive equalizer from Biketronics.......problem solved!!!
