Default Done Deal

Well, I am going to close the deal on a 08 Road Glide with a 103 stage II plus lots of extras.
I decided to go with the Heritage bars, HD lower kit, and modify original seat (or buy the reach seat). I will have heated grips put on while I am changing the bars anyway.
Should I do internal wiring? More expensive (but a cleaner look).
I can not wait to get it on the road. Thanks for all the feedback, it was a big help.

Cheers, and keep the rubber side down..........
Rick

Congrats on the new scoot... you're gonna love her, especially with the 103". I'd go internal wiring if possible.

Cool deal, I would never go internal wiring again. Just my experience talking!

I went with the internal wiring on my bars, and I really like it. However if you're going to put the heated grips on, the MOCO says: "NO"... Do NOT run heated grips on internal wired bars... Check it out. But there was thread on here yesterday or the day before that said he did it, without any problems. I'm always a little skeptical about going against the MOCO's recommendations, but I know in many cases it's just the lawyers crossing the t's and dotting the i's. Good Luck. Just thought you might want to know that.

Congrats on the new bike. I would not go internal but I'm a function over form guy. I have my GPS, MP3, and XM on my handlebars. I don't own a show bike. I own a bike that I ride for thousands of miles a year and can work on myself. Going internal just adds another headache if you end up with an electrical issue down the road. I think internal looks nice and clean but I just don't think it's worth it.

Ride safe!
