Default fltr air baffle

for those that have removed this baffle for ant reason, what differences do you notice. more/less buffeting? more air flow on legs? etc,? service manual says more air flow to rider and engine in summer months. down here in s texas it gets hot as hell from may til sept if not more.

It's only two easily accessible screws to remove the baffle. Remove the baffle and see for yourself. I suggest that because I've read numerous and often contradictory threads about the effect, if any, of having the baffle on and off the bike.

I removed mine per the lower fairing instructions.Cant really tell the difference.
By the way it is shaped, looks it should direct the air down.

I just removed mine and did not notice any more buffeting, but there was definitely more air coming up from between the tank and forks that I could feel at helmet level.

I would prefer to keep it mounted during the summer. I'm going to try to see if it makes a difference in engine cooling - it seems to me that it directs more air across the front head and cylinder, but I may well be wrong.
