How hard is it to take off the inner fairing???? i am a good wrench so ill be tackling it on my own.
How much of a difference will i see in a SE air cleaner and download? power wise? is it even worth it?
how will 18" front and rear wheels affect the handlin?
And i have a good wobble when i corner hard on my glide i notice that when i ride with my wife the increase in weight help cut the wobble nearly out. is there a magic number i can dial the shocks too or but some newer ones or what can i do to cut this down cause my SG actually corners hard and i like the curvy back roads
OUTER fairing removal takes 5 minutes. Do a full stage one with a PCIII, well worth it. 18" wheels will not adversely affect handling. Keep your wife on at all times to eliminate any wobble!
The inner fairing is not hard to remove... Use the manual and you will be fine....
Stage I Legal is what you are referring to.... Small difference... you might want to think about the SE Slip-ons with the Race Flash.. Better performance...
18" wheels look great... Hard to get tires for them if you are out on the road in East BFE, after you had a puncture or a catastrophic failure, let alone the price of them...
Take your rear shocks to 15 to 20 psi for dominant 2 up riding...
You have shorter rear shocks than stock, it will affect how the bike corners...
thanks fellas removing all those gauges and radio and stuff takes 5 min? i want to get mine painted to match.......... also my wife apricieates the keep her always on comment.... the only reason i am going to let harley do my stage one is because of warranty. i have 5 years. i already have the S&S SPO mufflers and everything else is stock
Going to take longer than 5 seeing as you didn't mention that part.... prolly 1/3 hour
If you already have the SPO's mounted, the Stage I will do NO GOOD..... You Might squeak by with a race flash, but you might want the SERT or PC III for the proper tuning....
The Stage I Flash is designed for CERTAIN PACKAGES.. and those S&S Muffs are not part of the kit....

i talked to my dealer and asked him when i did pipes he said go ahead he will cover it all.... also i expressed interest in a 1550 kit with his guru doing my port work ( he did my sportster i built and it made 101hp at the rear wheel 94 ft/lbs of torque) he said if i let them install the kit, cams, and the race tuner and dyno it for around $3800.00 he would warranty all of it UNLESS we had trouble in the heads and then he would make up what harley didn't.... real nice guy but i do ALL my wrenching and i built the hot sporty for less than 1500. and beyond a shadow of a doubt i can do this but i can't warranty it and i got all 5 years left. maybe thats a good price for warranty and HP
