My 05 with a 95" kit on it is about to roll 10k miles, which tells me i better check the cam shoes. rather than pull it apart just to check on things, im wanting to just yank the whole mess and throw gear drive cams in there.
now i have heard alot of good things about the 26g cams, but some people say that they will ping alot with a 95" motor. the 37g is also a close match, but a little more aggresive. does anyone have any experience running these cams with a 95" kit?
While you don't specify how you ride or what type of performance you are looking for, in addition to the Andrews 26 and 37 you might want to consider the Andrews 21g. This cam is recommended as the heart of the popular Joe Minton 95" build due to its amazing low end torque. I recently installed a 21g in my Roadking and love the 92 ft. lbs. of torque it provides in my 88" engine. Next winter I am planning to complete the Minton build by installing the big bore kit next winter.
