I would call Kevin at Head-Quarters.com he is a engine expert and helped me out doing my build...

My build was origianlly a street legal 103" kit. The dealer put that kit in my bike before I bought it. It was the first tbw bike their tech had ever tried to tune. It ran stronger than a stock motor, but wasn't as strong as I thought it should be. I was running so rich you could see the unburned gas coming out the exhaust every time I opened the throttle.

I found a tuner about 100 miles away that had excellent references. I decided to take it to him. I started thinking I should do a little more since I was going that far to get it tuned. He suggested the 103+ heads and 10.5:1 pistons.

I see lots of other builds, especially with aftermarket parts that have much more impressive numbers than mine, but I still have full warranty that covers everything except the pistons and heads that I added.

My build is not a pavement shredder or a front end puller. But it is very reliable and runs very good, especially low end and through the range I ride the most.

Just about any cam other than the 255's would make more hp than I have, but it would be tough to find another cam that would produce more tq at 2,000 to 4,000 rpms. My last metric bike was well over 100 hp. I don't feel like I am missing anything when I ride this build.

I wouldn't get too stressed about chasing numbers. You might want to try switching out the mufflers, the ovals might be holding you back. My HQ 103 makes 100 hp 110 tq which seems low until you ride it and it pulls pretty darn hard. My point is if your bike is running good where you ride, forget about it and ride it because the alternative is expensive!

Where in Illinois do you live? I took mine up to Jamie at Fuel-Moto he's up in Neenah Wi.He is like the God-Father when it comes to tuning bikes It might be worth the drive. It's about 2 1/2 -3 hrs. for me but like I say it's well worth the drive.

I think you misunderstood my post. I have no tuning problems now. Scott Hunter at Wabash Hd in Terra Haute, In has me straightened out. I am very happy with my build and my tune now that Scott has it tuned properly.

You have been unhappy with this build for awhile. I am still going to recommend the same thing. You are talking spending another 2+K reworking this thing. If it was my bike, I would simply replace the cam with a Woods 6G-7 or 7HG-7 and run with the Fat Cat. Only other two choices on exhaust would be a SuperTrapp SuperMeg or a V&H Pro Pipe HS and have the O2 bungs welded on. Another very cost affective low end torque solution since you aren't looking to twist the motor much over 5000 RPMs is putting the stock head pipe back on and running a good set of slip-ons like the SuperTrapp SE series.

Sorry I misunderstood your post. For the work you had done, those numbers arent really that impressive ,no offense. You should be concerned about your horsepower, only because hp is what keeps your tq coming on strong.
