Someone in another post showed this mount:

Curious as to how it performs and sits based on mounting to the passenger backrest docking points.

This pretty well sums up my thoughts. I ride my bike as primary transportation daily. I was pretty spoiled on having the storage space of the tour-pak, but I've found that I can fit most anything into a saddlebag. My tour-pak only goes on for road trips now. It is like having two bikes.

It only takes 5 minutes to remove.
About the same if I have help to install.
I don't like putting it back on without help because I'm afraid I will push the bike forward and then have the stand collapse and the bike go down...
The kickstand on the touring models locks in, when the bike is leaned over on it.......it's not going to fold up on you. Just shove away. If you have to push hard enough that the bike wants to roll, just put it in gear.

If you switch over to a detachable Tourpack, I recommend the rear mounting holes on the bracket. There are two sets of holes, fore and aft and I chose the closer set considering that I always ride solo, so it didn't matter to me (or so I thought.) Turns out that I have a hard time removing and replacing the seat because the seat tab (for the screw) just about hits my Tourpack when trying to install the seat back on. That extra inch would make a big difference. So I will be moving my Tourpack to the other holes further back now. Just something to think about....

I love mine, but there is a little play when the pack is on, I notice it on the front brackets. It's not too bad but enough that I'm going to see what I can do to make it a little more tighter!!

Love it. Wouldn't be without it. Gives you all kinds of options, in addition you can just run a backrest for your passenger with a rack if you choose. Looseness is NOT an issue, they are very, very tight! You know you want it, you're wastin' time, just go out and get it. It'll be on and ready to roll by this weekend. GO!!
