I just try to ride as much as I can and enjoy the sights. I don't get too preoccupied with the mileage totals.

I've been averaging 20k a year.... no great trips.... except Vermont a few years back... Blue Ridge Parkway is about 150 miles north, so I head up there 2-3 times a year. Ride to work when I can, and ride on the week ends when I can. I do the yardwork in the evenings, to free up the week end.

Whether you ride 100 miles a year.... or 100,000 miles a year... the key is to enjoy yourself, and don't ty to measure against another

In the past, a lot of times I have ridden 250 miles in a day and never got more than 50 miles from home. I like those kind of rides as well as the 700 mile days on a cross country road trip. It's ALL good.

Got 21,000 on my SG in 13 months. Went on 1 3000 mile trip to Sante Fe. Other than that it is weekend rides and the occasional 3 day weekend. Take it out after work some nights in the summer too.

I put 25-30,000 a year. I ride year round rain or shine. and I take a handful of trips a year. But the most of my miles come from the 53 miles I do daily...They add up quick.
