I'm also looking at putting the Dunlop Elite 3 tires on my 08 FLHX, which the rear will get done first.

I've had good prices from this site in the past.

I'm on my second set on my Road King. Getting about 12-14K out of the rear.

Guys, one thing to be aware when using the 160... If you have the bike lowered 2 inches, the tire may contact the top of the fender on huge bumps. So... don't do that...

We had the bike loaded down with tourpak and all and it bottomed out a few times. No damage though. My 07 is an SG WITH a 1 inch lowering kit. So I took the kit off and now no problems... 2 Inches may be too much for this tire. No problem before running the crappy 401s. They must be a shorter tire.

Just sayin. Regardless of this one thing the 160 works fine and fits fine.
It is wider than the stock D401 but it's skinnier than a D402 150. Kinda wierd.
It's also more expensive.

My advice... if just you want to tear up some miles worry free get the MU90B16.
It's near the same width and height as the stock 401 but with all the added benefits of the E3 tires.
If you want a wide tire and don't mind "close tolerances" get the 160-80-16. It looks awesome in there and rides fine if you don't lower your bike too much.

ah, it was your bike i saw the pics of, lp! looks real good. i dont mind the close tolerances...so long as nothing ACTUALLY touches! (sounds like a basic comment, but thats really about it.) really liking the tread pattern and reviews im getting about these versus the 402s. the cost is always nice too. is the mu90b16 a 130 or 140?

have stock height shocks on my rk so theres plenty of travel, and i keep the air high too.

Hey thanks! Trying to be a little more informative here... Disclose everything you know.

So another thing NOT to worry about is the tire pattern on the front tire. When you get it mounted up, it will look backwards like the tire should have been mounted going in the opposite direction. It's normal and supposed to be mounted like that. I imagine once I get around to swaping my rotors around (again) to stop the brake squeal, that it will look totally assbackwards. I actually had someone walk up to me and tell me tire was mounted going in the wrong direction. I had to show them the Arrows to get them to believe me that it wasn't. Kinda funny. I got a beer out of it.
