Jackpots hot vs cold
I've had my Jackpot Dyno Tuned mufflers on my '08 Ultra for a week. Now I'm not crazy, but the things aren't really all that quiet when they're cold and I'm leaving the house early in the morning. The bike is parked in the garage, so it's not freezing cold either. But as the bike and the pipes warm up, there is noticeably less noise coming out of the mufflers. Anyone else notice this with their own?? When I leave work in the afternoon, same thing. Noisy at startup and for the first few miles. Then definitely quieter later. By the time I get into my neighborhood, it's quietly purring like a kitten and certainly not disturbing for anyone. I've checked all connections and there are no leaks. Ideas?? BTW I also got the Power Commander V with my mufflers to go with the SE AC I purchased elsewhere. Getting the connector in front of the battery is at best a complete pain. Think it could be any tighter in there? Instructions don't show Ultra pics. There are a few more wires and connections in there for sure. Oh well, it's in now. Didn't change the noise, although the bike runs better with everything on it. Anyway, anyone else notice a change in the noise level between hot and cold on these mufflers? Besides the AC, mufflers and PCV, the rest of the powertrain is stock. Thanks for any info.
