Yea that was me but now I am going to go with HD hard Lowers.
Does anyone know what part numbers are to add the glove boxes with snap on covers to these lowers? (09 FLTR). Do the "lowers" come with any glove box at all standard?
Hey Rodeo,
Let me know the best price you find, maybe we can put in a double order and get em cheaper?! I want them for my bike too.
I can get em from my dealer color matched for $530.00 + tax, not sure about the quick disconnect kit.
Im considering adding the color matched vented fairing lowers to my standard. Id like to ask about the bike's stability...especially in crosswinds? Ive tried the chrome fork-mounted lowers....didnt care for the 'jerking of the fork' they added...especially when passed by an 18-wheeler.
I like the looks they add....the idea of keeping the wind and water splash off my legs and feet.....also the option of putting Pez's Fairing Lowers Speaker Kit. Just trying to get some opinions of those "In the Know".
Thanks,
Billy G
Do it!!
Just bought mine from another forum member (thanks vtwin1340) and put them on this last week end. I love them.
Don't really have anything bad to say about them except that Harley is making a ton of profit off these. There isn't really much to them.

Too late! I already ordered from John at Zanottis' before I saw your post. (I doubt we would have gotten a deal anyway.)

58687-89 ( Quantity 1 left glovebox) $ 123.44
58688-89A ( Quantity 1 right glovebox) $ 123.44

I plan to just leave them on the bike so no need for QD kit.
There is no issue with stability and the extra protection in rain or cold is well worth it. Plus, the extra speakers are nice, too. Personally, I also like the looks of them.

Why do you need the bottom two line items? Don't the lowers come with glove boxes? Just wondering.
My SG color matched vented lowers did. I just needed to buy the glovebox liners and they were very inexpensive.
I know the FLTR lowers do not come vented, so maybe they don't come with Glove boxes either. I asked John from Zanottis what else I needed besides the lowers themselves and that's what he came back with. He's been spot on for everything else I've asked of him with other items, so I trust his quote to be accurate. Besides, someone else (in one of the other threads, one on Hogg Chopps maybe) said I needed LH and RH boxes too at a similar price.

That a GREAT price! I'll have to go back to my dealer and squeeze him to get the price you got from Zanotti's! Even if they match your pricing, the NJ tax (no shipping) would put me at $811.14
I was in another dealership yesterday looking at the glove box (doors) . They are actually just some crappy leather covers with snaps on them. I think I've seen the locking doors for them, but not sure if HD sells them?
