How long have you owned the bike. Weird noises come and go from theses things all the time. I quit worrying about it. Just ride it til something breaks then fix it. Usually the answers you get to weird noises it that you need louder pipes or turn up your stereo.

I feel ya. I hate noises too. Traded in many a car due to a simple dash rattle. Can't stand 'em.

I use to put a very thin coat of lithium grease on the tongue until I put an adjustable back rest on my bike (that I wanted for while) and it held my body from shifting back.
