Replacing the handle bar volume ****
They broke off my volume control **** on my 04 Ultra when they shipped it here to Alaska. I didn't notice it until this past week when I went to ride it and stabbed myself with the metal post on the switch. I stopped by the HD dealership, got a new ****, and tried to replace it without any luck. Even with the brass tension plate that comes with the ****, I can't get it to stay on the post. I'm hesistant to use superglue or other such adhesive in case I have to take it off again. Any suggestions???

You got me on that one. I replaced all my switches with chrome when I did chrome switch housings. They all went on and stayed on.
Maybe try a little dab of clear silicon. You can still get it off if you ever need to.
