I wish you a fast recovery. I'd say that sunny Florida will help the pain, but since it's pouring on us both, I'll save it for another sunny day.

Luxury Rich Red!! Ooooooops! Forgot, they don't make the fastest color anymore Then you'll have to settle for Red Hot Sunglo. I just rented a SG up in PA a few weeks ago and that would be my choice of color. The next ride will be a Red Hot Sunglo RG, or what ever the best deal they have on an inventory leftover, and then paint it Luxury Rich Red.

Best wishes for a safe recovery up there in Melbourne. Take a drive up to Capt Hirams and sit in the sand at the bar, with a glass of something with Rum in it, and stare at the ICW for a few hours

Sounds like you have the sort of attitude needed for a quick recovery. Good Luck

Hope you are compensated for your pain and suffering.

Man, that's like two accidents with the scoot falling on you! Love your attitude but make sure you give yourself time to fully heal both physically and emotionally. As for color of you new scoot, go with the Red Hot Sunglo... you will love it.

Sorry to hear this but glad you will be okay and are looking forward to riding again.

We are seeing about two to three stories a day like this and it is wearing on me. Almost makes you feel that the odds of a safe ride are impossible anymore.

I just bought the wife and I the Harley "ORANGE" High Visibility mess jackets and I feel a lot safer with them on. I can see people seeing me and they are actually very comfortable.

Good luck to you and I hope you have a speedy recovery.

D@mn, that was a wreck. Kudos to your for planning your next bike. A LOT of lesser bikers would have hung up the leather and called it quits. Speedy recovery!!!

Default Get well soon..

Just reading your post gave me goose bumps! I was riding home in 03 on my 03 Ultra and while going through an intersection I was T-Boned by one of our local handicap transport vans who failed to stop for his red light. The first contact was his drivers front bumper and my passenger floorboard on the right side. As I proceded to scream HOLY-MOLLY I began to lay the bike down. Next thing I knew I looked back towards the way I had come from and here comes the van again like it was following me. The rear tire of the van was approximately three feet from my head (helmeted) so I immediately turned my head so as not to take a dunlop into face, I woke up with the water from his exhaust pipe dripping between my right eye and the side of my helmet. Apparently the tire ran completely over my head and the pressure caused me to black out...L3-4-5 Fusion, left wrist fusion X-three and left rotator cup redone over the course of 4.5 years. Only lasting problem was that there is some existing memory problems and a little stiff in the mornings but I truly believe that the BIG Guy was watching out for me!! OH and the interesting part in the whole thing was that there was a cop waiting for the same light across the street during the accident that caught it on her dash camera, he was clocked at 51 MPH, I was doing 17 MPH. The other good thing about it was that the guy was driving a company van, he had been in 4 other accidents in California two of which involved red lights and one of them involved another Harley. Since then I have bumped into him twice in a couple stores in our community but he still will not say he was sorry!

My son has offered to tear the bark off him but I still feel that CARMA will right this wrong.

Heal up quick my friend and stay safe. Post a picture when you get your new bike!!

WOW, glad you came out of this on the plus side. Harley's can be fixed or replaced. Take your time on the mend, and get better for plenty more riding.
