I have both the 2 up and solo Sundowner seats for my 07 FXDB and absolutely love them...the 2 up is more comfortable than the solo but both are great in my opinion...:>)

What year/model bike was it installed on?
What's the weight/height of the passengers?

Just curious because I'm also looking at this seat for my FLHX.

Thanks.

I'm not sure it really matters what kind of seat you have, after riding 1140 miles, your tail is going to be sore.

I am surprised because I hear nothing but good things about the sundowner. I certainly like mine.

After reading this, and other posts regarding seats I'm convinced that one just has to try it out to see if that particular seat works for them. I still have my stock seat (which SUCKS), but can't seem to figure out which seat (Corbin, Mustang, Sundowner, customizing stock seat, etc) will work for me. Simply riding around town won't cut it either, as you have to be on it for 300-400 miles to really 'try it out'.

Anything has to be better that my 07 stock seat though ....

I love the stock seat around town but was going to pickup a Sundowner for trips. Just sitting on one I was pretty impressed.

Default Sundwoner

I had back surgery 8weeks ago. Got a new sundowner seat a week ago with adjustable drivers backrest. Went on 175 mile ride Monday and let me tell ya, most comfortable seat I have ever been on. Not sure if it was the seat or the drivers backrest but im sold on em.

Some people are just not cut out to ride a motorcycle I guess
Maybe you'd be better off with one of those 2 wheeled camrys

I think it also has to do with how long your legs are. I can see someone with short legs having a problem with this seat. It's a little wide compared to the stock seat. For me the seat is perfect. I have a solo brawler and a 4" shield for day rides. Then I have the sundowner and a 8" recurve clearview of overnighters. If you have one you can have the side of the seat reshaped. by bad x.
