Don't be disturbed. If you have read any of these seat threads you will come to the conclusion there is an *** for every seat. The hard part is finding one before you go broke. These forums are the best place to start. T.
I got a 09 FLHX a few months ago, me and the wife went for a 2 hr ride the first day and decided the stock seat had to go.
We got a sundowner with street-glide stitching, it looks great and is super comfortable for both of us. She has the tour-pak to lean back on and I have the rider backrest. I could not imagine a more comfortable set up.
Different sized a$$es means different sized seats.
I wish the seat would work for me but as stated by many not all butts are the same. when I sat on the seat at the dealer it felt great but as the miles rolled on it kept getting worse. maybe just my butt as was stated but I have my stock so comfy now that I don't think I will need an aftermarket seat wish I would have fixed it before I bought the Sundowner. Sundowner is for sale.

I had my doubts about any HD seat being that great. But last weekend I went to the dealer to do a test fit. As big as it is it sat me at the same height as the 08 Road Glide seat I am currently running. And the seating position was pretty nice too.
I'm picking up one strictly as a starting point for a MCC mod job. Trying to find a good deal on a used one. It is about the only comfortable seat that I can get modded to bring me down closer to the ground.
I bought the Sundowner for my '98 RKC, and my wife. Worked for me but ended up sending it to Mean City for upgraded foam and making the passenger section wider while shaping it for her comfort. While it was there I moved me a lower and pushed forward a little, just because.
My wife is now comfortable up to a couple hours a day and is planning a some longer rides/days. The basic seat shape is comfortable for me.

Which seat do you have? I'm looking for 51630-06. Thanks, Greg
The sundowner seats are the best touring seats HD makes. Don't fall for the BS Hammock seat they are trying to push. Short guys won't like them at all and taller riders are going to be feeling the seat pad after a hour of riding. HD claims that there is 2"s of foam in these seats but I think who ever measured this was looking at a metric ruler and saw 2 cm and called it inches. Next time I have one in the shop a apart I will take pictures and prove my point, the concept is good but the quality of the entire is very cheap.
