I just added the Truck-lite Phase 7 headlight to my ultra. I did a comparison with another bike and the aim was way too low with the bulb change on low beam. I readjusted it and seems to work much better now, even in the twisties. I did the passing lamp mod and have the T/L passing lamps coming tomorrow as well. I figure between those always on and the headlight I should be good to go and still pull less amps.
That was my experience too - the aim had to come way up with the Phase 7 and the sharp cutoff lets you do that. I don't have any problem in the twisties and like people say, it turns night into day.
Yep, when I did my change the guys I was riding behind told me they couldn't see the light over the passing lamps! I readjusted it during the day and brought it WAY up which made it very easy to see. Then when it got dark I tested it to find I had it a little too high so I brought it back down some. It worked pretty good on the short ride home afterward. I haven't ridden with my bud's since the last adjustment so I don't know how well you can see them in the daylight which is why I changed it in the first place. Once I get the passing lamps installed, I will probably run on high-beam most of the time anyway during the day since all three led bulbs will pull way less amps than the OEM bulbs do.
I love my phase 7 lights. Had them on my 91, and then moved them over to my 03 when I got it last summer. No regrets on the money spent, I am out in farm country and need all the light I can get. Then again, I am a LED nut, I love the technology and what it does!
Check HERE for the best price. Just ordered a set myself. Pay no attention to the picture. You get a headlight and lamps for your aux lights for that price with free shipping.

I had the daylight head and passing light installed today(yeah went overboard), on my 2009 sg, but I wanted to be seen. Just road at night and if you just have the single head light, you might regret it. However, get the passing lights also and kit to keep them on even when dimming, and you will light up the road. No distance but plenty of side to side viewing and close up!
