I'm looking for a second bike, looking at the EG's.
I want something that is well dressed up, pre-twin cam, which leads to the question. What was the best year for the Shovels then EVO's? Are Shovels better motors than EVO's?
I'd even be happy with links to other threads on this subject as I'm sure its been asked before.
Pls don't suggest TC, I already got one and I don't plan on paying big bucks, I wrench my own.

I can't talk shovel with you but I researched EVOs before buying mine and pretty much decided I would get one from the last production year: 1998. My Dads' shovel is a 1973 Electra Glide and it still keeps on truckin'.
