Default Firecap and 6.5 speaker

Just wanted to post another postive post for Wayne and his product. Did the amp and speaker upgrade this weekend and went pretty smooth. When all was done it was really easier than expected. Also mounting to 6x9 in bags with second arc amp running those. Ran all the wires for that just waiting on one more wire so I can get sound to the rear speaker from stock deck.

So if you need stereo upgrade I would reccommend Firecap and his product.
Will post update when I get rear finished, front sounds great so only expecting rear to make it really sound nice.

Well finished the install with speakers in the bags. Everything sounds great and those arc amps really do work really well. Wayne was right cant really hear the speakers to much in the rear going down the freeway. But parked this thing is loud. But atleast I can turn the rear off whenever I want and just listening to the front.

Those 6x9's in the bags are awesome aren't they? The hardbags make a perfect acoustic box for them. I just yanked the same setup out of my personal bike yesterday and put in the Sumax hardbag liners to regain the lost storage space (lot's of trips planned this summer). Enjoy your new tunes and +1 on Wayne. He's a great guy to deal with!

Default firecap(wayne) dedication to customer satisfaction

i do not post to often but today is one of those days that i must.I call wayne from firecap to ask an audio related question.even though i did not purchased the system from him;he whent out of his way to answer.
My question was in relation to the ARC audio MPAK2 system and the5.25 to 6.5 speaker convertion. He was able to not only answer my question but also took his time to ask me a series of questions related to my music listening habits.all along i was wondering why he needed to know what kind of music i like.then he whent on to explain that different rock band's specially really heavy metal groups have different style of playing and the choice of instruments according to the group will impact how the sound will be handled by the two different speakers size.
I was totally amaze at how much knowledge and attention to detail this guy has.In the future my next purchased will be from him.his dedication to customer satisfaction is second to none.

Can you actually hear the speakers in the bag at highway speeds or is it just a stop light sound system. If yes, how much power you pushin.

I wouldn't imagine the bag speakers being audible at all once the bike is in motion because the speakers are aimed at the rear wheel. Up front I've got 6.5's on top, 5.25's in the glove boxes and an amp in the fairing. I can crank the **** out of it at the stop light, but the second I start moving, I lose all low end.
That's not the product, that's just acoustics.

Now when I had the tour pak on, I can remember hearing the rear pods while in motion. That's mainly because those speakers are aimed in the general direction of your ears, not at the wheels.

Not knocking the boys who put 6x9's in their bags at all - I'm just giving some outside input.
I think I'm gonna try the one's that mount in the top of the saddlebag lid, but I need to come up with some scratch before then

I talked to hawg-wired about 6.5 upgrades on speakers. I was told they did some proto type testing a year ago and decided not to proceed with the 6.5 because very little was gained.for those who had good 5's was there really a huge gain. Please fire away but with real results. Thanks !!!

A huge gain in bass response yes.. loudness no.. deep vibrating bass no... good bass yes from a 2 speaker system.... sure its not like a 8" or 12" or 15 SUB but heck its better than the 5 in a quarters in the bass department

I do have some dynamatting and dyna orbs in back of the 6.5s

I dunno about losing low end..when going, mine is just fine.. sure no road noise or traffic noise at a stop so it even better while sitting there..but no quality loss at speed...just road/traffic noise to interfere
