Use a wheel chock and geez, stay off the handlebars.

I bought the chrome brackets from Kury that go over the bolts on either side of the inner along the forks. Works like a dream, and don't look out of place.

May seem stupid but why keep off handlebars? Is it the fact that the handlebars are mounted using a isomer insert? I have strapped BMW's and Kawasaki's this way with no problems.

Yes, eventually it will wear the rubber bushings. You can use the engine & saddlebag guards for tie down spots too.

Kevin, I have a lot of interest in your thread as I will also be hauling my Ultra in an enclosed trailer next week. What if there is no wheel chock? Do you absolutely need one? I hauled my fatboy on an open trailer a few times w/o one....I just secured it from the bars and a 3" strap across the passenger seat. Now i'm thinking I probably should have done a better job.....

So is a wheel chock a must?????

Actually, if you run your straps from the side of the trailer into the crash bar then up and over the frame just behind the neck and ahead of the tank, you will have a solid place to apply downward pressure that will both stabilize the bike from side to side action and apply some compression to the front fork springs. You don't want to compress them completely. Leave the jiffystand down with the bike resting on it. Put your front tire in a wheel chalk then strap it in so the bike doesn't back out of it. A couple more straps at the back of the bike to keep it from slipping to one side should take care of it. Use quality straps that don't loosen up from their locks. The ratcheting kinds are best. Close and lock all your lids and make sure the alarm isn't turned on during transit. That will run down your battery.

A wheel chalk can be made of just about anything that will keep the front wheel from slipping side to side or backing out of it.
