so much for getting parts on time. Got the mount today and installed it in about 1 1/2 hrs. Took the lowers off, so that added some time. I have decided that I am better off doing my own service rather than the dealer. Just had the 50K service done, which includes tearing down the front end to change fork oil. That should expose the motor mount, which has been broken for a while by the looks of it. The other thing I noticed was the bolt holding the stabilizer link to the engine plate was gone, and had been for quite a while. Those are two items that I think should be considered critical fasteners on the service check list. The service dept. will hear about this one. With these items fixed, I don't remember the bike ever being this smooth at idle. Sorry for being so long winded.
I have a 08 ultra classic that I had a Motor Trike put on new it has had a shake from the beginning and got worse in July this year then I took it to motor trike dealer and he said I was one bump from the front going one way and the rear going the other.
It turns out the rear motor mount gets to much stress and cracks. I have called all over and have found out I am not alone.
Motor Trike says it is not there problem Harley says it is not there problem well it sure the heck is not my problem. Has any one else having this problem?
