i had a terry tv3 on my 07 e-glide, for about 2 months, the indy that put it on could never get the idle right as there are no adjustments on the module. there for you can not tune it with a dyno run. as for the idle, at one stop light it would idle at 1100 rpm and 2 miles up the road it would idle at 850 rpm. i took it off and had a pc3 put on with a dyno tune. there are a couple of other threads on here about the tv3, some others on the forum had idle problems also... imho, go for the power commander or something else
I have a TV11 the 3's are better, mine has been great no problems with Supertrapps and Doherty PowerPacc I like you wanted a one time thing especially since there are no close dyno's where I live, I get 45-47 consistant with 55-57 above 2000 ft.

I have a tv 2 and it seems to work good, you say the 3 is better, just curious to what the differences are between the two

Was thinking just by looking the 3 had less connections, but not according to the instructions but it did add a 02 sensor, the 3's are only for throttle by wire bikes.
