I just ordered a 10.5" Dark Tinted Half Moon from Clarks for my RG; will be installing it tomorrow and trying it out. Don't know what the performance outcome will be (good I hope), but I will say I have never gotten such friendly and FAST service from anyone before. Pat offered to cut mine with an extra half inch in height for the 10" price, and it was delivered to my front door 3 days after I ordered it. It's replacing a Clearview GT XL which I got for the wife's benefit, but I don't like it because it's so large and I am looking right at the Recurve in the shield, which caused distortion. If this one doesn't work, then maybe the Windvest, so if anyone has tried one of theirs, please post your thoughts/comments. Thanks.

+1 on the service from Clarks. Pat & Robin are super people with great service and product. However, I ordered the 14" Half moon and a 14" flat top for my RG. I put the halfmoon on yesterday and regretibly still have the wind noise and buffeting, about the same as the stock shield I would say. On behalf of Pat and Robin, I told them I was gambling on trying their shield, no offense that it didn't work out for me. I am now back to looking at tall shields. LTBiker, if you are interested in selling your shield, I may be interested. I also have 2 brand new Clark shields for sale if anyone is interested. I will let ea. go for $50.00 plus shipping. I don't know what to look at next? I may see about getting a lower seat, but it will have to be touring seat for me and the wife. I have the Ultra seat on it now and I think you set up higher in it hence the reason why some of these sheilds may not be working out for me. Still wanting do find out if anyone has used the taller Cee Bailey Euro and how it worked out?

I have a 16" euro with lowers on my rg with stock seat. Im 6'2" and this combo works pretty well. It's not a whole bunch better than stock but it's not worse either. They also make a 17 and 18" version now. I would also like to try there screaming eagle version because you can use that sweet windshield gasket that doesn't fall off. The SE versions are also more upright which might help.

I had a 12 KW could not hear the radio above 70MPH. I now have the Cee Bailey 16" Euro on a 08 RG. I'm 5'7" stock seat love it.
My only problem is my mailbox is at the end of my street. When I pickup the mail I stuff it on the dash between the windshield and speedo & Tach. Doing this puts very light scratches
on the shield, this never happened on the stock or KW shield. But they clean up.

I've used Clarks, and they are wonderful people. Very nice, and extremely customer oriented. They gave me a screamin' deal on a custom cut 7 1/2", and it really works good for me. I'm just a little shy of 5'11".

You have the majic combination, your height and a med. height windshield which looks good on the bike. Doing the math you have a 4" advantage (this is a lot) setting lower in the seat and behind the wind shield. For the taller riders, we have to make up the differnece which would mean instead of a 16" WS it would take a 20" WS which is what we were hoping to avoid. The look of a tall tall windshield just turns me off. To make up the difference I'm wondering about a lower seat (which I don't need) and possibly lowering the rear of the bike (which I don't want). I am giving this a full effort because I like the RG but if I don't get this mess worked out soon, I am considering other options (other bikes) as a fix.

They make a mar resistant shield as well. Just a little more $$.

Long story short, I have ordered 2 shields from Clark's hoping that 1 of them will be satisfactory. As I have described along with many others, I am not getting much wind, it is a buffeting (harmonic in nature) almost like having an electric toothbrush strapped to your helmet. It makes my face itch and signs and on coming cars look fuzzy. Can't tolerate this much longer. If these don't work I may go to a +2" CV, although I am not crazy about the long tall look it has. Thanks for your reply and I am glad yours worked out for you.
Hi, I'm new to the forum and live in Denver are. I have two CV shields, not too bad but maybe I don't have the height correct. You probably already know this but if not you can get seconds from Clear View for a fraction of the cost. I bought my two for less than one knew and can't see a mark on them.
