I have one of their jackets and chaps and love them both. very good leather, thick, supple and soft. Very good quality. They are also a very fair price. I did it online and didn't talk on the phone, the chaps fit perfectly using their sizing chart but the jacket was a little small, returned it to them and got the right size.
I've got a pair and have put about 15k miles on them. No complaints about the quality, and I'll probably use them occasionally in the future but I've switched to textile, it's just more practical year round.
It is funny that this post came back up just as I received my new pants from Fox Creek. (yesterday, 9-10-09) The sent me the overpants with no snaps or zippers and the quality is outstanding. These are exactly what I was looking for as far as weight, style and fully lined for year round riding.
I got a call last week and they said they were done.....however, they measured them and they were only 34" and I "need" 36". They said they would make some more.
I keep hearing people say Fox creek sizes wrong. I wear a 48 and so I ordered a 50. I was swimming in it. I sent it back and got a 48. Fits like a glove. I see no problem with the sizing on the jacket I bought. I have only one small complaint, if you want to call it that, which is when I sit on the bike the back pushs up on the back of the jacket a bit. I scootch up and wiggle aroun and I can get it back down. I don't think they need that much material in the back. As far as the finish and sewing etc., They are perfect near as I can tell.
I rear the Motoport/Cycleport stretch Kevlar with armor and suspenders over my jeans. Easy on and off. Lighter than leather and and with wind and rain liner, do the job efficiently and comfortably. I can also wear them in extreme heat and they vent well and still have extreme protection without the liner. Works very well for me.
