I have had a new clutch pack put in recently. I cannot find neutral, no way no how, while the bike is running. I goes in fine when the bike is off. Adjusted and readjusted the clutch and the cable. Also it is hard to back up while the bike is running. Suggestions?
Problem is not the lube, it's the adjustment. Do a search and look for clutch adjustment the easy way here on the forums. There is an easy method using the clutch lever to help you feel the adjustment on the rod. What makes me says this is the fact that your clutch is dragging when you try to back up and the fact that you can get neutral with the bike off. You are not getting complete release. Try it .
thick cold grease can cause the drag on backup but 2050 shouldn't
he said he adjusted and readjusted
who put the clutch in take it back to them, if you did it and you're sure you adjusted it right did you replace clutch discs and steel plates, which clutch did you use, if you did both did you get the inner steel plate i've fixed atleast a dozen diyers that did this, it'll go back together but the cluch won't release fully, it'll shift but you can't get neutral and it will drag while backing,
did you remove the spring plate and replace with right plates
i would agree and try to adjust first but if it's the other problems they are easy to fix
